What’s The Secret Sauce? And How Do You Add More To Your Life?

Hey there Reader

Ever wondered what makes a small amount of people super successful in their pursuits, while other just plod on through life?

I have thought about this at least a thousand times. Is it luck of the draw? Is it some hidden trait that only a few people have? Is it genetics? Is it determination?

What makes some people more successful than others? How can some people (albeit a small few) start what they finish? Some of them can even proclaim they will be successful and then nail it... What gives?

If I knew the answer and could bottle it up, I’d not only be Elon Musk rich, but I’d also probably win the NOBEL prize for awesomeness – if such a thing exists.

But what I can tell you is that success does not come naturally and free to anyone. You see, most successful people have failed an innumerable number of times before they achieved success. One of my mentors keeps telling me that “You only fail when you quit.”

My parents always told me not to be afraid to fail. I never really understood that until I got into the real world – where failure is like the flu. It’s all around us and very contagious. I’ve been told that failure = errors in judgement repeated daily (poor choices, not taking responsibility, procrastination etc).

I’ve also been told that you learn more from failure. Only if it’s done correctly, though. Einstein said, “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting different results.” So, failure doesn’t help you if you keep doing the same thing over and don’t learn from your mistakes and course correct as necessary.

Success is something you become. It’s not inborn. You only become successful by learning from your previous failures – and your previous wins.

Successful people learn what not to do and don’t repeat catastrophic mistakes and at the same time also learn what brings them success and try to repeat those actions over and over.

I’ve also been told more times than I can remember in the last 12 months that “success leaves clues.”

Look back at the times you were successful and evaluate them. Really analyze what it was that helped you win. Also evaluate what were some of the causes of your failures and remind yourself to avoid that type of behavior again...

Try to harness that again in all you do... And success will be yours!!

And if you're like most successful men in their 40s and 50s, you're probably telling yourself this is just "part of the game." But here's what's really happening... While you've been crushing it in the boardroom and building your empire, your body has been quietly betraying you: Your testosterone is...

Hi Reader Do you know where you want your health and wellness to be in 3 months? And do you know how to get there? Oftentimes it’s just a matter of some simple engineering. You just design, build, and implement you program. Oftentimes, this is much easier said than done, though. This is exactly what I did when I found myself int the dumps and in the depths of despair because I was soooooo out of shape – although I’ve been told round is a shape too. Luckily, I have a very inquisitive mind that...

Good morning Reader, This morning, I'm getting needles jabbed into my shoulder. Not fun, but necessary. You see, 50 years of extreme living has destroyed my joints: Elite rock climbing for decades Countless mountain bike crashes 9 years of jiu-jitsu beatdowns (black belt or bust!) More skiing wipeouts than I can count My shoulders are shot. The orthopedic surgeon is injecting PRP (platelet-rich plasma) to try to fix what decades of abuse have broken. But here's the crazy part... While my...
